Things to do at Springwell

The woodland and nature trails on the hill above Springwell, part of our former croft, are a great place to walk and enjoy the flora and fauna and take in the spectacular view.

Activities at Springwell

The bluebells in May are magnificent and our Autumn colours are breathtaking. Well behaved pets are very welcome and the hillside offers great dog walks. We have a private shingle beach, a great place for an evening barbecue.

Springwell offers more than a comfortable bed in a cosy cottage. Its also at the centre of an area of magnificent scenery with lots to do locally and great places to eat out. It is a great location for touring and many of our guests range far afield on day trips to Loch Ness, the Cairngorms National Park, the Isles of Skye and Mull and the wonderful beaches and native oak woods of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. A really great trip is to take the “Hogwarts Express” from Fort William to Mallaig.

For the energetic there so many choices – climbing, hill walking (Ben Nevis is just half an hour away), cycling. We also have a discount arrangement with some great local Activities businesses which offer sea kayaking, canyoning, gorge walking, fishing, golf, and so much more.

You will wonder where the week went!
